When you purchase a certified pre-owned car, truck, SUV, or minivan from Economy Honda, you're choosing a vehicle that's been thoroughly inspected and certified for quality. These vehicles, known as HondaTrue Certified, go through a rigorous certification process to ensure long-term performance and reliability.

Age and Mileage

To be eligible for the HondaTrue Certified program, each vehicle must meet specific age and mileage standards. Only Honda vehicles that are five years old or newer and have no more than 80,000 miles on the odometer qualify for certification.

Inspection

Every HondaTrue Certified vehicle at Economy Honda undergoes a comprehensive 182-point inspection by our trained service technicians.

This detailed inspection covers both mechanical and cosmetic components, including the drivetrain, suspension, steering, brakes, wheels, tires, exhaust, interior, and exterior.

Reconditioning and Maintenance

If any part doesn't meet our high standards, our technicians repair or replace it using genuine Honda parts.

We also bring the vehicle up to date with its scheduled maintenance, so it's ready for the road the moment you drive it off the lot.

What's the Difference Between a HondaTrue Certified Vehicle and a HondaTrue Used Vehicle?

As you browse our pre-owned Honda inventory, you'll come across both HondaTrue Certified and HondaTrue Used models. While both represent quality and dependability, there are some key differences between the two.

HondaTrue Certified vehicles must be 5 years old or newer with fewer than 80,000 miles. These vehicles also come with a 7-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.

HondaTrue Used vehicles, on the other hand, can be up to 10 years old and have no mileage cap. They include a 100-day/5,000-mile limited warranty, which starts after the original warranty expires or from the purchase date if it's no longer active.

Both programs include roadside assistance and trip interruption coverage. Plus, HondaTrue Certified vehicles include two complimentary oil changes during the first 12,000 miles or first year, and HondaTrue Used vehicles include one complimentary oil change during the first year of ownership.

What is Covered?

Both HondaTrue Certified and HondaTrue Used vehicles come with limited warranty coverage that includes a wide range of powertrain and non-powertrain components. Any part that is defective due to faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced — with no deductible.

Powertrain Coverage

A HondaTrue Certified vehicle's powertrain is covered for 7 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the original in-service date of the vehicle.

A HondaTrue Used vehicle's powertrain is covered 100 days or 5,000 miles.

This coverage includes the:

Non-Powertrain Coverage

A HondaTrue Certified vehicle gets up to 2 years of additional non-powertrain coverage beyond the factory warranty (or from purchase date if already expired), up to 100,000 miles.

A HondaTrue Used vehicle gets non-powertrain coverage for 100 days or 5,000 miles.

6. Complimentary service begins on the date of vehicle delivery or after the expiration of the New Vehicle Honda Service Pass, whichever occurs later.

10. The Honda Certified Limited Warranty is part of a complete package that is only available with the sale of an inspected and reconditioned, certified pre-owned vehicle. All costs associated with such inspection, reconditioning, and certification are not subject to separate charge or fee; instead, all such costs are included in the advertised and actual purchase price of the Honda Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle.
